Go ice-skating





Spend evenings with friends in warm pubs






Make lots and lots of yummy soup






Spend time curled up with loved ones






Drink hot chocolate in the cutest cafe you can find





Draw pretty things on foggy windows






Take time to admire and sketch winter trees






Build a fort





And most importantly....

Take a trip somewhere warm!










Weekend challenge: Go out for ice cream and order the weirdest toppings that they have. You might be surprised at how yummy it is!

I can't wait for winter for all of these reasons! I love summer but I'm starting to grow weary of the consistent warmth. I want cold because I want to wear tights and pretty coats!

I should like to: Toast marshmallows around a camp-fire--but it's deadly HOT. Boy, I can't wait until the Fall comes into play. . .and stays for good!! This weekend I think I'm going to boutique-search and write.

My favorite post is about Secrets. Maybe that's what I'll add to my list :-)

Some of those pictures are gorgeously sweet and cuddly. I'm hoping for a very cosy an cuddly weekend in. Oh, and I really like your challenge, but I might have to go further afield to find somewhere that's lovely and mad enough to sell icecream in this weather. What toppings have you had that were strange but delicious?

amen! I love winter for all of those things :) I do love snuggling into bed in winter - drinking warm teas, cold noses and cold fingers, hot chocolates to end dates with, electric blankets and cuddles on the couch! I love winter coats and scarves and hats and boots!!

but, that being said, I love the sunshine so much more!

Oh, you make winter so charming. I have a feeling it'll be no fun here. Icy streets. Blizzards, yet I can't hardly wait for it with all the muggy heat we've been having.

I think I am going to take your weekend challenge! and I am more ready for fall than winter but your pictures were lovely anyway! (winter here means like sub zero weather for 5 months and basically feeling like you are dying when you walk outdoors)--- so you see why I can wait a little for winter!! :)

i'm sitting my house dying of heat, but i just made a hot chai latte because these photos/ideas seemed SO lovely. :) i'm enjoying summer {and lots of ice cream}, but i can't wait for winter.

I love ALL of these things! I read the whole thing thinking, "and go on vacation somewhere where it's not winter" after each item :) Lol! Hope you're enjoying your winter. I'm soaking up every minute of summer that is left here... looking forward to the pretty colors of autumn, but soaking up every minute of sunshine to sustain me through all these fun winter activities :)

Mr. A and I need to go ice skating this winter. I'm sure it will be a giant catastrophe, but at least we will have fun doing it.

Winter should be here soon. All of this hot weather is making me melt. I can't handle heat and humidity like this. Plus, I love wearing my jackets!

Yes! Winter is good for all those things...It's good for having an excuse to stay inside and read a book and for the excuse to make cookies and cakes and scones and use the oven as much as possible!
